Interdisciplinary networking event

The virtual postersession is an interdisciplinary networking event hosted by the startup service (KWT) of Saarland university and the Entrepreneurs Campus of Ulm University in cooperation with the German Institute for Artificial Interlligence (DFKI). This matching event targets all scientists who need advice and support to process their scientific data. Scientist with large data sets will get the opportunity to start collaborations with machine learning experts. Please provide a short abstract until 14.Nov via invitation link (provided after registration) if you intend to present your data to machine learning experts. At the poster session event you will be given a 10 min time slot to present your project and get feasibility feedback by machine learning experts.

  • Introduction to machine learning approaches- Dr. Frederic Raber: 14:00-14:20 Uhr
  • Short presentations of data providers: 14:20-16:30 Uhr
  • Short talk: funding opportunities for interdisciplinary and applied projects- Dr. Mara Schuler-Bermann: 16:40-17:00 Uhr

Tools: MS Teams and virtual poster room on a platform called Posterlab (invitation to the platform will be send after registration.

Abstract submission:

Deadline 14. Nov. 2021. Abstract submission will be possible via the posterlab platform after registration. After filling in your name and institute on the platform you can fill out a scientific canvas. With the help of your details we will be able to find matching machine learning scientist with an expertise in your field.

Dr. Frederic Raber, M. Sc. is AI expert and senior researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and consortium leader of the Regional Future Center for AI and Digital Transformation Saarland Rhineland-Palatinate (RZzKI).

Dr. Mara Schuler-Bermann, Dipl.-Biol., StartUp advisor and technology scout at the Kontaktstelle- für Wissens- und Technologietransfer at the UdS.
